JNTUK – DAP-New batch admissions- Guidelines

This is to bring to your kind notice that Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education, Hyderabad  is releasing web counseling results on 14-09-2012 and the students who are successful in acquiring admission in to various constituent and affiliated engineering colleges of JNTUK Kakinada are hereby requested to report to respective colleges on or before 20^th September, 2012.

The following guidelines pertaining to I Year admissions are to be scrupulously followed.

1.      The Class work in all constituent and affiliated colleges should start from 20^th September, 2012 without fail

2.      The College Managements are requested to orientation programmes covering the following aspects along with the Parents.

·         Anti Ragging measures and features of Anti ragging act.

·         University Academic regulations and Credit System

·         Mobile phone numbers of Principal, Vice-Principal, Heads of the departments, Hostel wardens, Medical officer, Police personnel (Local Circle Inspector and Sub Inspector of Police) members of Anti ragging and Grievances cell to be given to Students and Parents. And also displayed on a flexi at the main building.

·         The basic differences between Intermediate and Professional college education

·         Parity among the institutes, the departments and the faculty

·         Parity among the  students in a particular class and our aim to reach the last student

·         The major facilities available in the college like Digital Library, Sports & Games, Laboratories etc

3.      The above orientation programmes  are to be conducted during 20^th to 22^nd  September, 2012 and the Action Taken Report along with the photographs and list of students reported need to be sent to the University.

4.      The newly admitted students are to be trained for utilizing University Web site for any information.

5.      The University expects all the affiliated colleges to display the details of the punishments for involving in ragging activity on their notice boards and flexi boards with salient features of the act.  They are further informed that any negligence towards curbing ragging activity will be viewed very seriously and will attract punishment right up to disaffiliation of the college

6.      A cultural programme involving the first years and the senior students should be celebrated on 22^nd  September, 2012 and send the report on the next day.

7.      The Managements are hereby informed to nominate Faculty counselors for each batch by dividing the students into number of batches in each class. These faculty counselors will monitor / counsel the students so as to prevent any untoward incidents.
